WITH CHRIST IN THE VESSEL we CAN SMILE AT THE STORM
Matthew 14:22 to 36
Written During Corona Pandemic Lockdown 2020 March
The above passages gives us an insight of the journey of life amidst a storm , amidst a LOCKDOWN on the sea.
1. IDENTIFY : When the disciples first saw Jesus, they mistook him for a ghost. It's very important to identify our saviour. Know His voice amidst all the distractions. Identify the Right Spirit
2. DESIRE: Peter had a desire to walk on water, just the same way like Jesus was doing. It's a very good habit to Desire for things Jesus said, "Take courage" Don't be afraid
3. ASPIRATION: Peter wished to walk on the water and started walking. its great to aspire and follow the steps of Jesus. To live like Him. To Speak like Him. To move like JESUS. To Heal like jesus. Ultimately Jesus is our role model
4. FEAR : When we walk with Jesus, things are not easy as always it seems to be. Suddenly when a circumstance arose, a situation captivated, a storm closed in... we tend to be frightened the same way like Peter. There are always many reasons for fear. once a famous pastor told me this about Fear.
F- false
E- evidence
A- appearing
R- Real
How true a false evidence tends to captivate us. gives us a limit in life to stop excelling
5. DOUBT & DROWN: When Peter saw the winds, He feared, he doubted, He started to drown..
How much are we related to this ? We tend to walk so beautifully with Jesus after being saved, tend to enjoy the companionship, tend to worship and rejoice.. and suddenly after the fear has overtaken... we tend to Doubt on Jesus and start to Drown
6. RAISED up: This is the most beautiful part. Jesus is always near us to lift us. Embrace HIS LOVING hands that is always there to Lift us...
You know what, After Jesus pulled up peter to the boat... the STORM calmed IMMEDIATELY....
Don't fear, Don't Doubt, Don't be afraid when Jesus is in the boat...
WITH CHRIST IN THE VESSEL, WE CAN SMILE AT THE STORM... as we go SAILING HOME....
